Aromatherapy Properties: Juniper berry is a grounding scent excellent
for meditation. It is emotionally restorative and purifying. Juniper berry is
also used as an aphrodisiac and nerve tonic for its reviving, protective and
restorative properties. Medicinally, juniper is used to curb the appetite, ease
depression, ease muscle aches and decrease anxiety. |

Suggested Uses: Sniff directly for full single note effects, diffuse
generally throughout the day to restore positive energy to the environment,
dilute several drops in a carrier oil for massaging sore muscles and joints. |

History: Folklore has it that juniper berry was helpful with hangovers.
The berries of this shrub have been used to flavor gin. Traditionally the scent
is thought to ward off contagious diseases and Native Americans living in the
high deserts of the West still burn it during purification and healing
ceremonies. |
